Jesus: 'Manchester City not unbeatable'

Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus has insisted that his side are not unbeatable yet, despite winning their 16th consecutive Premier League match in Saturday's 4-1 defeat of Tottenham Hotspur.

The win, which extended City's lead at the top of the Premier League to 14 points, could have been larger had Jesus not hit the post with a second-half penalty attempt.

Ilkay Gundogan opened the scoring for the Manchester club and Raheem Sterling netted a brace following Kevin De Bruyne's strike, before Christian Eriksen pulled back a late consolation.

"This was one of our best performances this season, against a really good opponent that has brilliant players," Jesus told Sky Sports News.

"So well done to us, not just because of the result, but also the way that we've beaten Tottenham. The score could have been even larger.

"Our team is performing excellently but there are other clubs doing the same. We can't think that we're unbeatable and we have to keep our focus game by game."

City's next game is a Carabao Cup clash with Leicester City on Tuesday evening.
