England goalkeeper Joe Hart to sit out Scotland clash

England manager Roy Hodgson confirmed this evening that goalkeeper Joe Hart would be rested for Tuesday's friendly against Scotland at Celtic Park.

Hart will return to his club Manchester City after playing the full 90 minutes for England in tonight's 3-1 victory over Slovenia in Euro 2016 qualifying.

Hart's absence is likely to see Southampton stopper Fraser Forster start at his old ground in three days' time.

If Forster is named in the starting lineup, it would be his first England start in over a year and just his third Three Lions appearance.
