Joe Hart hails calm approach of Manuel Pellegrini

Joe Hart is certain that Manuel Pellegrini's calm approach will continue to produce success for Manchester City.

Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has claimed that Manuel Pellegrini's calm approach will help the team return to top form very soon.

Defeats to West Ham United and Newcastle United in the past week have seen the spotlight turn on Pellegrini, but Hart believes that his manager's attitude inside the dressing room will continue to bring success to the Etihad Stadium.

"He's not an actor," the England shot-stopper told reporters. "That's who he is. It's how he portrays himself in the media, but he doesn't change when he speaks to us.

"It's a good thing to have a constant - we know what kind of a guy he is and what he expects from us. Someone doesn't have to smash the room up to show you they're disappointed.

"He's got his standards that we try to live up to, and if we don't, we're just as disappointed as he is. He knows his methods and we've proved in the past playing his way works."

City will look to put a disappointing week behind them when they meet Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.
