Manchester City's Erling Braut Haaland is on course to end the season on 102 goals in all competitions if he sustains his current strike rate, game time and reaches every final at club level.

Manchester City striker Erling Braut Haaland is on course to finish the season on 102 goals across all competitions if he sustains his current strike rate, game time and reaches every final at club level.

The 22-year-old has enjoyed an excellent spell in front of goal following his £51m transfer from Borussia Dortmund over the summer.

During his time in Germany, Haaland scored 86 goals in 89 appearances across all tournaments and he has since found the net 13 times in just nine games for Man City.

The Norwegian's latest strike was an outstanding acrobatic effort to help the Citizens complete a 2-1 comeback victory against his former club Dortmund in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Haaland also scored a brace in the comfortable 4-0 Group G win away against Sevilla, and with three goals in two Champions League games, the striker currently leads the scoring charts along with Barcelona's Robert Lewandowski and Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappe.

The former Molde youngster is also leading the way for goals in the Premier League as he has found the net 10 times in just six appearances, four goals clear of Fulham's Aleksander Mitrovic in second place.

Haaland scored a brace on his debut in the English top flight in the 2-0 win away at West Ham United, and aside from drawing a blank against Bournemouth, the striker has scored in every league game since.

An equalising strike in the 3-3 draw with Newcastle United, was followed by successive hat-tricks in home victories against Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest.

Haaland became the first player in Premier League history to score nine goals in his opening five appearances in the competition, surpassing the previous record of eight strikes by Micky Quinn and Man City legend Sergio Aguero.

Back-to-back hat-tricks also saw the 6ft 5in striker break another record as he took home the match ball in two of his first five matches in the division, breaking the previous record set by former Newcastle and Chelsea striker Demba Ba, who scored his first two hat-tricks in 21 games.

Haaland missed the chance to become the first-ever player to score three consecutive hat-tricks when he took to the pitch in City's most recent Premier League match against Aston Villa, but he still managed to get his name on the scoresheet as the Citizens played out a 1-1 draw.

Should Haaland continue his current strike rate and play in every minute of every match in both the Premier League and Champions League, the Norwegian would net a remarkable 113 goals this season.

Haaland's strike rate of 1.86 goals per game is currently the best of any player across Europe's top-five league to have played at least 108 minutes this term.

City's new No.9 is sure to have Mohamed Salah's Premier League Golden Boot record of 32 goals in his sights this season, and he will be looking to add to his tally when Pep Guardiola's side make the trip to Molineux to face Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.
