Andy Gray: 'Manuel Pellegrini could drop Joe Hart from Manchester City side'

Andy Gray believes that Manuel Pellegrini could drop goalkeeper Joe Hart from the Manchester City team if he continues to make slip-ups.

Former Scotland footballer Andy Gray believes that Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini may lose faith with goalkeeper Joe Hart if the player makes any more mistakes.

The England international was criticised for allowing three goals to get past him during last night's Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich at the Etihad Stadium.

"I think if Joe makes any more errors for City he'll leave him out, and sometimes that ain't a bad thing, especially as a goalkeeper," Gray told talkSPORT.

"You could drop him out for a couple of weeks to work hard in training and restore his confidence and that's no bad thing."

Hart is expected to be included in Roy Hodgson's England setup when he confirms the squad this afternoon.
