Kevin De Bruyne: "I could play every game"

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne insists that he is not feeling any signs of fatigue in his first season back in the Premier League.

Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne has insisted that he is not feeling any signs of fatigue despite featuring heavily in his side's campaign so far.

The 24-year-old has spent the majority of his playing career to date with sides in Belgium and Germany, who have an annual winter break, but has started in 25 of the title-chasers' 28 competitive games since joining in August.

"At this moment I feel fit - physically I have no problems," the Belgian told the Manchester Evening News. "As for injuries, I have had no problems for the last three or four years. Physically, I have always been in order. Hopefully it stays that way.

"I see my stats after each games and they remain at the same level. I have not suffered from fatigue and could play every game."

De Bruyne has now admitted that he is aiming to become the Premier League's top assister, with his nine currently trailing the 16 amassed by Arsenal's Mesut Ozil.

"I know Ozil is leading, and last year I had 21," he added. "You can quickly get 10 or 11 in half a season. You can sometimes have six or seven matches with nothing, then go on a run.

"For me personally it does not matter, but the more I give, the better it is for the team."

City currently sit second in the Premier League table, three points off leaders Leicester City.
