Massimiliano Allegri says that Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli needs to concentrate on his career, as he is in danger of wasting it.

AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has told Mario Balotelli that he is in danger of wasting his career.

The Manchester City striker was involved in a training ground bust-up with manager Roberto Mancini earlier this week, leading many to speculate that his future lies away from the Etihad Stadium.

It is the latest in a string of incidents to befall the Italian international since his £20m move from Inter Milan in 2010.

When asked if he could be tempted by a move for the 22-year-old, Allegri responded: "He is a Manchester City player. He just has to concentrate on himself, otherwise he can throw away his career."

Balotelli has scored one goal in 13 Premier League appearances this season.
