Sergio Aguero: 'Wilfried Bony arrival should improve Manchester City'

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero says that new arrival Wilfried Bony's Premier League experience will benefit the performances of the current champions.

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has said that new signing Wilfried Bony's Premier League experience will be of great benefit to Manuel Pellegrini's side.

The current champions recently completed a deal thought to be worth in the region of £28m for the former Swansea City frontman, with Aguero suggesting that the team's latest addition will help to improve the club's performances.

"We're always very happy when we get new players," said Aguero, according to The National.

"The idea is always that this is done in the spirit of improving the overall performance of the team.

"Since Wilfried has been playing in England, he should be able to take the pressure of competing in the Premier League. So he will be a very good signing. We're very thankful for this."

City currently hold second place in the league standings, five points behind leaders Chelsea.
