Samri Nasri out for four to six months

Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri is out for four to six months after having surgery on a tendon today.

Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri could miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on a tendon.

The 28-year-old was hoping to be fit for the game against Liverpool and despite initial belief that he would be out for three months, it is now understood that the Frenchman will be unavailable until March at the earliest.

The former Arsenal man wrote on his Twitter account: "Just had surgery, everything went really well, hopefully will be back in four to six months."

Nasri has made just one league start so far this season and has not featured since the 5-1 home victory against Bournemouth last month.
