Another who was with Manchester City during their first stint in the Premier League, Uwe Rosler spent a brief but successful spell at Maine Road.
Having impressed during an initial trial and then loan spell towards the end of the 1993-94 season, City signed Rosler on a permanent basis and he made an immediate impact with 22 goals in his debut campaign.
The German's form saw him named the club's player of the year for that season, and he went on to top the scoring charts in each of his first three full campaigns with the club.
City were relegated in 1996, though, and Rosler left two years later having scored 64 goals in 176 games for the club, 40 of which came in 94 Premier League games.
