Manuel Pellegrini: 'We plan to attack Barcelona'

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini claims that his side will attack Barcelona in the Champions League this evening.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has said that his side plan to take the game to Barcelona when the two teams meet in the Champions League this evening.

Pellegrini has said that he is fully aware of the threat posed by the La Liga champions and paid particular attention to Lionel Messi.

He told reporters: "It is important to continue to have a style of play, to continue having personality.

"You can't play without considering that they have Lionel Messi and other important players.

"But we are not going to play just thinking about defending because thinking about what we are going to do with the ball is the most important thing."

City warmed up for their Champions League clash with a 2-0 win against Chelsea in the FA Cup.
