Frank de Boer criticises Manchester City's players for not listening to Roberto Mancini.

Ajax coach Frank de Boer has criticised Manchester City's players in the wake of his side's 3-1 win against the English champions on Wednesday night.

De Boer said that Roberto Mancini's players should not have struggled so much with his change to three at the back after Ajax's second goal.

"If you are at the top level and your manager tells you two things, you have to be able to do it," Setanta Sports quotes De Boer as saying.

"There are always moments in games when Mario Balotelli, Sergio Aguero and Samir Nasri go to sleep. They do not chase the full-back, as they do not believe it is necessary."

Ajax moved up to third in Group D and are now two points ahead of City.
