Man City injury, suspension news for Slovan Bratislava clash: Rodri, De Bruyne, Ake

De Bruyne update: Man City injury, suspension list vs. Slovan Bratislava

Manchester City make the trip to the Slovakian capital to face Slovan Bratislava in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

This will be first meeting between the two sides and City's first ever trip to Slovakia for a European encounter, facing competition debutants and rank outsiders Slovan.

The visitors will see this as an opportunity to improve a recent run of form which has seen the English champions win just one of their last four games in all competitions, after they were held by Newcastle United on Saturday.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Slovan Bratislava, who enter this fixture in the back of a 5-1 defeat to Celtic on matchday one in their UCL debut.

Rodri

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Man City announced on Wednesday that Rodri tore his anterior cruciate ligament against Arsenal last weekend, and Pep Guardiola has confirmed that the midfielder's season is now over.

Kevin De Bruyne

Status: Out Type of injury: Groin Possible return date: Unknown

De Bruyne failed a late fitness test ahead of the trip to Newcastle United at the weekend and the playmaker - who has now missed Man City's last three matches since being forced off against Inter Milan - is not available for Tuesday's match.

Nathan Ake

Status: Out Type of injury: Thigh Possible return date: October 20 (vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers)

Central defender Ake will be out of action until after the next international break due to the thigh problem he picked up on international duty with the Netherlands earlier this month.

Oscar Bobb

Status: Out Type of injury: Leg fracture Possible return date: Unknown

Bobb had a fine pre-season with City, but suffered a nasty leg injury on the eve of the new campaign, and is set to remain out until the new year.

MANCHESTER CITY'S SUSPENSION LIST

Manchester City have no suspended players for this match.
