Player Ratings: Malmo 2-0 Olympiacos

Malmo claimed their first win in the Champions League group stages by beating Olympiacos 2-0 at the Swedbank Stadion.

Markus Rosenberg made the most of the Greek side's defensive frailties to score a double for the hosts.

Goal

Robin Olsen: Impressive performance from the Danish keeper. Made a number of important saves and commanded his area well all evening. (8/10)

Defence

Anton Tinnerholm: Got forward well down the right and offered good support to the midfield. Was solid on his flank and helped to nullify the visitors' threat from crossing positions. (6/10)

Erik Johansson: Commanding display from the defender. Made some important challenges and was a towering presence at the back. (7/10)

Filip Helander: Was solid just like his defensive partner Johansson. Committed to every challenge and made sure that the Olympiacos forwards barley had a chance. (7/10)

Ricardinho: Had a tough night on his return to the team. Struggled to deal with the pace of Elabdellaoui in the first half and gave away a few cheap fouls. (6/10)

Midfield

Markus Halsti: Did not have too much of an influence on the match, but kept his side ticking over in the centre of the midfield. (6/10)

Magnus Eriksson: Positive display from the Swedish international who always looked a threat. Created a number of good chances for his side before he was replaced late on. (7/10)

Enoch Adu: Had a good evening in the midfield and showed great energy throughout. Made a number of well-timed challenges to break up the oppositions' attacks. (7/10)

Emil Forsberg: Solid performance from the young Swede. Helped out his team at the back and used possession well all evening. (7/10) Attack

Markus Rosenberg: Outstanding performance from the Malmo captain. Scored both of his team's goals and led the line well throughout. (9/10)

Isaac Kiese Thelin: Linked up well with Rosenberg and gave the Olympiacos defence a number of problems. Should have scored in the second half with a close-range header that was saved by Roberto. (7/10)

Substitutes

Pawl Cibicki: Helped to set up his team's second goal of the evening just minutes after his arrival. (7/10)

Erdal Rakip: Came on in the final minute of stoppage time and did not have any time to make an impact. (6/10)

OLYMPIACOS

Goal

Roberto: Made a number of vital saves, but it was his mix-up with Botia that led to Malmo's first goal. (6/10)

Defence

Alberto Botia: Horrible mistake at the back which allowed Rosenberg in to score. Was a weak link in his side's defence and never looked comfortable. (5/10) Omar Elabdellaoui: Was a decent outlet for his team in the first half. He gave Ricardinho plenty of problems, but faded as the game wore on. (6/10)

Arthur Masuaku: Could not get forward as much as he would have liked and did not enjoy the best of games at the back. (6/10)

Eric Abidal: Dependable performance from the veteran full-back. Played well enough at the back, but struggled to get forward in support of his team's attacks. (6/10)

Midfield

Ioannis Maniatis: Had a good chance to score for his side early in the first half, but was denied by a great stop from Olsen. Came close again with a strike that was cleared off the line after the break and looked his team's most likely scorer. (6/10)

Luka Millivojevic: Had a number of strikes from range in the first half, but faded as the game wore on. (6/10)

Dalvin Ndinga: Did not enjoy the best of matches in the heart of the midfield and was taken off just before the hour mark. (6/10)

Attack

Ibrahim Afellay: The former Barcelona winger struggled to get into the match and did not use possession well. Was taken off for Diamantakos just before his team conceded their second goal. (6/10)

Kostas Mitroglu: Wasted a great chance to level the scores when his close-range effort was kept out by Olsen. Struggled against Malmo's defence in an otherwise quiet night. (6/10)

Patjim Kasami: Aside from his early shot on goal, the former Fulham man made very little impact on the match. Was replaced by Durmaz midway through the second half. (6/10)

Substitutes

Alejandro Dominguez: Looked lively following his introduction and delivered some dangerous crosses that his team could not make the most of. (6/10)

Jimmy Durmaz: Another player that added some flair to the Olympiacos attack, but he was unable to help them find an equaliser. (6/10)

Dimitrios Diamantakos: Came on for the final 11 minutes, but did not have any impact on the match. (6/10)
