Age Hareide: Malmo in "marvellous position"

Malmo coach Age Hareide says that his side are in a "marvellous position" to reach the Champions League group stages despite losing 3-2 at Celtic.

Age Hareide has suggested that his Malmo side are in a "marvellous position" to reach the Champions League group stage after their 3-2 first-leg defeat at Celtic.

With seconds left in Glasgow, former Bhoys striker Jo Inge Berget struck to complete his brace with a goal that changed the complexion of the playoff tie for both sides.

Courtesy of their away goals, a 1-0 victory in Sweden on Tuesday would see Hareide's troops progress, and the Malmo boss is optimistic.

"Now we are in a marvellous position ahead of the return [leg] on Tuesday," he is quoted as saying by TV6.

Goals from Leigh Griffiths and Nir Biton inside 10 minutes put the Hoops into a commanding position, but Berget's brace, either side of Griffiths's second, left Ronny Deila's men with a job to do.
