Video: Mario Balotelli tells critics to "shut up" in bizarre rant

Mario Balotelli hits backs at those who have criticised his performances this season, claiming that they do not know what he has been through in his life.

Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli has launched an attack on his critics in a video posted on Instagram, telling them to "shut up".

The £16m summer signing has failed to make an impact since joining the Reds, scoring four goals in 24 appearances in all competitions to draw widespread criticism.

In particular, Balotelli's attitude and work-rate has come under fire, although the Italy international has now hit back at those who have condemned his performances.

For those with an easy judge without knowing s*** about others. Good night😘. #idowhatiwant-remember!

"Do you know me?" Balotelli asks in the bizarre rant. "Did you ever talk to me, personally? Do you know what I've been through in my life? You just saw me play football on the pitch. Man, shut up."

The 24-year-old was omitted from Liverpool's squad against Swansea City on Monday night due to illness.
