West Ham offer Carroll £24m contract?

West Ham United have reportedly offered Liverpool forward Andy Carroll a contract worth £24m.

The two clubs are believed to have agreed a loan deal for the 23-year-old's transfer, which would see him move to Upton Park for £2m this summer and then join the Hammers on a permanent basis for £17m in 12 months should they avoid relegation.

Carroll is said to be reluctant to join a team that is not competing in continental competition, however Sam Allardyce is desperate to land the player and has tabled a five-year contract worth £90,000 per week, according to The Sun.

Carroll's current contract at Anfield expires in June 2016.
