Sterling refuses to rule out Liverpool return

Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling has hinted that he would consider a return to Liverpool in the future.

Since leaving Anfield for the Etihad Stadium in 2015, Sterling has been jeered by Liverpool's fans, who feel that the England international only left the club for financial reasons.

However, in a Q&A session on Instagram, the 25-year-old has acknowledged that the Merseyside giants 'still hold a place in his heart'.

Sterling said: "Would I ever go back to Liverpool? To be honest with you I love Liverpool. Don't get it twisted, they are always in my heart. It's a team that done a lot for me growing up so..."

During his time at Liverpool, Sterling made 129 appearances in all competitions, scoring 23 goals.
