Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers expects quiet January transfer window

Rodgers expects quiet January

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has suggested that the club will not be doing any business during the January transfer window.

The Reds have had an inconsistent start to the season, leaving them in eighth place in the Premier League table.

Following a £115m spending spree in the summer, Rodgers believes that his squad is well equipped to challenge for a top-four finish.

"There won't be a lot of activity, if any, in January," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "My first look is always within and I still think we have players.

"Furthermore, I don't think it is a good time to spend. Last year we never brought anyone in. I am happy with how the group is progressing. We brought in a lot of players in the summer who we felt could develop and they are starting to adapt."

Liverpool continue their Premier League campaign tomorrow when they welcome Leicester City to Anfield.
