Rangers manager Steven Gerrard is reportedly eyeing up a season-long loan move for teenage forward Ben Woodburn, who is on the periphery of things at Liverpool.

Steven Gerrard will reportedly attempt to attract Liverpool youngster Ben Woodburn on loan to Rangers during the summer transfer window.

The recently-appointed Gers boss has already brought in Scott Arfield and Allan McGregor on free transfers, while Jamie Murphy has agreed a permanent deal at Ibrox.

According to talkSPORT, legendary Liverpool midfielder Gerrard now plans to raid his former club by bringing in teenage forward Woodburn for the next year.

Woodburn became the Reds' youngest-ever scorer in 2016 when netting against Leeds United, but he has since struggled to break into the first team due to the fierce competition.

Jurgen Klopp may be willing to send the Wales international out on loan to continue his development elsewhere, with Gerrard previously working with the youngster as part of his coaching job at Anfield.
