Real Madrid 'join Boubakary Soumare race'

Real Madrid are reportedly ready to rival the likes of Liverpool and Barcelona for the signature of Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare during this summer's transfer window.

The 21-year-old, who was strongly linked with a move to the Premier League in January, has made 30 appearances for Lille during the 2019-20 campaign.

The midfielder has only featured in one of his side's last seven Ligue 1 matches, though, having allegedly shown his frustration at missing out on a winter move.

Both Liverpool and Barca are allegedly weighing up moves for the France Under-21 international this summer.

However, according to reports in Spain, Los Blancos are also in the hunt for the midfielder, who could be available for a figure in the region of €27m (£25m).

Soumare's current deal with Les Dogues will run until the summer of 2022.
