Liverpool 'weighing up Thiago Alcantara move'

Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara this summer.

The 29-year-old has again been a key player for Bayern this season, contributing three goals and two assists in 35 appearances in all competitions.

The Spaniard's existing deal at the Allianz Arena is due to expire next summer, though, and there has been speculation surrounding his future in recent weeks.

According to Bild, discussions over a new deal with the Bundesliga champions have taken place, but Thiago is considering seeking pastures new during this summer's transfer window.

The report claims that Bayern are aware of interest from Liverpool, with the English club's head coach Jurgen Klopp a keen admirer of the midfielder's talents.

Thiago has made 230 appearances for Der FCB since arriving from Barcelona in 2013.
