Liverpool are understood to have turned down Newcastle United's loan bid for striker Andy Carroll.
The Magpies were reported to have made an offer for the England international to rejoin the club on Sunday with the option of a permanent deal.
The Merseysiders have now rebuffed the possibility of a transfer, according to BBC Sport.
Carroll moved to Anfield from the Sports Direct Arena in 2011 for a British record £35m.
