Liverpool 'pondering Jay Rodriguez swoop'

Liverpool are reportedly pondering a swoop for Southampton midfielder Jay Rodriguez, depending on whether he overcomes his injury woes.

The Reds are monitoring the England international's recovery from the knee injury that has kept him out for the last nine months, according to The Mirror.

Brendan Rodgers's side are said to face competition for Rodriguez's signature from Premier League rivals Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.
