Liverpool make Tiago Ilori bid?

Liverpool have reportedly made a £4m bid for Sporting Lisbon defender Tiago Ilori.

Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is thought to be keen on boosting his ranks at the back ahead of Jamie Carragher's retirement this summer.

Ilori, 20, could now be part of the squad at Anfield in time for next season, according to The Mirror.

The Merseysiders are expected to know if their offer has been accepted by Sporting by the end of the week.
