Liverpool complete deal for Alisson?

Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker has reportedly agreed to join Liverpool on a five-year contract.

Liverpool have frequently been linked with a move for Alisson, and earlier on Wednesday it was suggested that a breakthrough had been made with Roma accepting a bid in the region of £67m.

That gave Liverpool permission to hold discussions with the Brazil international, and according to Sky in Italy, personal terms have already been agreed between both parties.

The report suggests that Alisson is still to undergo a medical with the Merseyside giants, but the 25-year-old is scheduled to fly to the North-West of England later on Wednesday.

Should a transfer be completed, Liverpool will pay a world-record fee for a goalkeeper, which would suggest that Loris Karius will no longer be regarded as first-choice by manager Jurgen Klopp.

The addition of Alisson would leave Liverpool with four senior stoppers, leaving the club to part ways with either Karius, Simon Mignolet or Danny Ward.

Real Madrid and Chelsea have also held an interest in Alisson, but it appears that Liverpool have won the race for his signature.
