Report: Liverpool, Wolverhampton Wanderers vying for Benfica's Anderson Talisca

Liverpool and Wolves 'vying for Talisca'

Liverpool have reportedly expressed an interest in signing Benfica's Anderson Talisca, but are said to be facing competition from Wolverhampton Wanderers for his signature.

The 22-year-old attacking midfielder made 34 appearances for the Portuguese giants during the 2015-16 season, scoring nine goals and providing one assist.

According to Portuguese outlet O Jogo, Benfica have "agreed" to sell Talisca to either Liverpool or Wolves for approximately £20m, with Anfield being the Brazilian's preferred destination.

However, it is believed that there may be issues with a work permit being granted, given Talisca's lack of international experience, and the source claims that a switch to the Championship "is less likely to be blocked than one to the Premier League."

Talisca has represented Brazil at youth level but has yet to earn a senior cap despite a call-up to the squad in late 2014.
