Lazio planning move for Liverpool winger Xherdan Shaqiri?

Liverpool winger Xherdan Shaqiri has allegedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Lazio.

Having earned a place in next season's Champions League, the Serie A side had hoped to win the race for former Manchester City playmaker David Silva.

However, despite being frontrunners for the veteran, Lazio missed out to Real Sociedad, leaving them to explore alternative options to the Spaniard.

According to Italian journalist Nicola Schira, Simone Inzaghi could now look to sign out-of-favour Liverpool attacker Shaqiri.

After the Switzerland international made just three starts and seven substitute outings last season, the Premier League champions are open to a sale.
