Jordan Williams leaves Liverpool on loan

Liverpool have confirmed that midfielder Jordan Williams has joined Rochdale on loan until January.

The 21-year-old has made one senior appearance for Liverpool but has spent most of his time in the Under-23 squad, in addition to loan spells at Notts County and Swindon Town.

The Welshman will now spend the first half of the season in League One with Rochdale, having agreed a five-month loan deal on deadline day.

"Jordan Williams has joined Rochdale on loan until January," read a statement on Liverpool's official website.

"The Liverpool U23s midfielder, who made a senior debut for the club in September 2014, will spend the first half of the season with the League One side after agreeing the move on transfer deadline day."

Williams could make his debut for Rochdale away to Southend United on Saturday.
