Javier Manquillo to cut short Liverpool loan to join Benfica?

Javier Manquillo is reportedly considering cutting short his loan deal at Liverpool in order to join Benfica.

The 21-year-old moved to Anfield from Atletico Madrid last summer on a two-year loan, but struggled to hold down a regular first-team spot.

According to A Bola, Benfica have approached Atletico regarding a potential transfer for Manquillo, while Liverpool are said to be open to cancelling their loan deal a year early.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers did not hand Manquillo a single Premier League appearance in 2015.
