Everton may reportedly look to secure the signing of Liverpool forward Divock Origi if Cenk Tosun seals a return to Besiktas in the coming months.

Liverpool forward Divock Origi has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Everton.

Players rarely make the short switch across Merseyside, but it appears that the Toffees may be willing to push through such a deal providing that it makes financial sense.

According to Aksam, Everton are in the running to sign Origi should they give the green light for Cenk Tosun to make a return to Besiktas.

Everton would likely look to recoup the £27m which they spent on Tosun at the start of 2018, and that would provide the club with the funds to try to bring in versatile attacker Origi.

The 23-year-old has failed to make a single first-team appearance during the current campaign and there is little prospect of the player extending his contract, which expires at the end of the season.

Liverpool may be willing to cash in on Origi for a cut-price fee in January rather than lose the forward on a free transfer in the summer.

The report claims that Galatasaray may also look to sign Origi at the midway point of the campaign.
