Besiktas want to keep Loris Karius on loan next season?

Besiktas have reportedly expressed a desire to keep Liverpool keeper Loris Karius at the club on a loan basis for the 2020-21 season.

The German keeper moved to Turkey on a two-year loan in 2018 following his horror-show performance for the Reds in the Champions League final.

Meanwhile, Liverpool broke the world transfer record for a keeper by shelling out a fee of £66.8m on Alisson Becker, who has since cemented himself as the club's first-choice.

According to Fanatik, Besiktas are keen to stretch Karius's loan spell in Istanbul until the conclusion of next season.

The Turkish Super Lig side are financially unable to shell out the required £6.8m to make the deal a permanent one.

Karius, who made 35 appearances in all competitions for Besiktas last term, is open to the idea of prolonging his stay in Turkey, with talks between the two clubs expected to occur over the next few days.
