Team News: Sturridge replaces Downing

Daniel Sturridge returns to Liverpool's starting lineup in place of Stewart Downing against Reading away from home in the Premier League.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has recalled Daniel Sturridge to his starting lineup for their Premier League clash against Reading this afternoon.

The striker replaces winger Stewart Downing, who drops to the bench for the Reds.

Meanwhile, Reading manager Nigel Adkins had made four changes to his side for today's home game.

Noel Hunt, Pavel Pogregbnyak, Alex McCarthy and James McCleary have all been drafted back into the team in place of the injured trio of Adam Federici, Hal Robson-Kanu and Hope Akpan and Adam Le Fondre, who drops to the bench.

Reading: McCarthy; Gunter, Morrison, Mariappa, Kelly; Karacan, Guthrie; McAnuff, Hunt, McCleary; Pogrebnyak
