Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Liverpool could line up for Wednesday's Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp could have Ibrahima Konate back at his disposal for Wednesday's Premier League clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield.

The French centre-back returned to team training from a thigh injury last week, but he was not considered for selection against Crystal Palace, where Joel Matip's performance left a lot to be desired.

Having now had ample time to get back up to speed, Konate could make a welcome return to the backline here, but Klopp is still being forced to work around several absent stars.

Luis Diaz, Thiago Alcantara, Calvin Ramsay and Joe Gomez are all set to miss out, and it remains to be seen if Darwin Nunez's shoulder pain will settle in time for Wednesday as well.

Even if Nunez does need more time to recover, Klopp still has the option of bringing Roberto Firmino into the final third, and the Brazilian is a candidate to replace Cody Gakpo in between Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah, who both struck the woodwork on Saturday night.

Arthur should soon come into contention for his long-awaited Premier League debut after completing the full 90 minutes for the Reds' Under-21s at the weekend, but any appearance for the Brazilian this week is sure to come from the bench, where Naby Keita will likely be demoted to after a disappointing first-half showing at Selhurst Park.

Keita and James Milner are both at risk of dropping out for Fabinho and Stefan Bajcetic, but Jordan Henderson should hold off the threat of Harvey Elliott to retain his place in the engine room.

Konate for Matip should be the only change that Klopp considers for a rearguard that have kept three Premier League clean sheets in a row, as Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Andrew Robertson line up from the off again.

Liverpool possible starting lineup: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Bajcetic, Fabinho, Henderson; Salah, Firmino, Jota
