Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Liverpool could line up for Saturday's Premier League clash with Aston Villa.

Liverpool will welcome most of their big-hitters back to the first XI for Saturday's Premier League meeting with Steven Gerrard's Aston Villa.

The Reds welcomed Joe Gomez and Naby Keita back from injury in the win over AC Milan, while James Milner will return from a suspension served in midweek.

However, Jurgen Klopp will be unable to call upon Nat Phillips, Harvey Elliott, Roberto Firmino or Curtis Jones this week, as the Reds seek a seventh win on the bounce in all competitions.

Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold will displace Neco Williams and Kostas Tsimikas in defence, while Ibrahima Konate and the injured Phillips prepare to make way for Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk.

Tyler Morton earned a second consecutive Champions League start at San Siro but will drop out for Fabinho here, with Jordan Henderson and Thiago Alcantara also returning to their rightful places.

Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah both started at San Siro and will retain their spots here, with the latter aiming to record a goal or assist for the 14th Premier League game in a row.

Divock Origi is certainly pushing for a start with his recent winners against Milan and Wolverhampton Wanderers, and he may be granted it if Diogo Jota cannot recover from a knock in time.

Liverpool possible starting lineup: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Fabinho, Thiago; Salah, Jota, Mane
