Ronnie Whelan: 'Premier League title race is not over'

Former Liverpool midfielder Ronnie Whelan believes that there is still a long way to go in this season's Premier League title race.

Former Liverpool midfielder Ronnie Whelan believes that there is still a long way to go in the Premier League title race this season.

The Reds, who currently sit two points clear at the top of the standings, will claim their first league title since 1990 if they win all four of their remaining matches.

Whelan, who was part of the Liverpool side which last won the league 24 years ago, has hinted that Chelsea and Manchester City are still in contention.

"I don't think anyone can call it at this moment," Whelan told BBC Radio 5 live.

"There is still so much to happen, but it is in Liverpool's hands."

Liverpool travel to Norwich City on Sunday.
