Kolo Toure pleased with Liverpool squad depth

Liverpool defender Kolo Toure is confident that there is enough depth in the squad at Anfield to deal with any injury problems.

Liverpool defender Kolo Toure has claimed that there is enough depth in the squad to deal with any injury problems.

The Reds suffered a blow to their defensive ranks on Sunday as Daniel Agger was forced off during their 2-0 win over Oldham Athletic in the FA Cup third round.

Despite Agger's expected absence, Toure is confident that there are enough players at Anfield to fill the gap left by the Dane.

"We hope it's not bad news about Daniel," Sky Sports News quotes the Ivorian as saying. "It's been a tough period with so many games and we're playing in such a tough league.

"Everybody in the squad always gives 100 per cent in training and in games and when you do that you can pick up injuries. It's part of the game. We have other players who can step in and play."

Liverpool return to Premier League action on Sunday when they make the trip to Stoke City.
