Robbie Savage praises Liverpool signings

Robbie Savage has stated his belief that Liverpool made the best signings during last month's transfer window.

The Reds were able to secure a deal with Chelsea for the services of England international Daniel Sturridge, while Inter Milan attacker Phillipe Coutinho also arrived at Anfield.

With those additions in mind, former Wales international Savage insisted that the Merseysiers impressed him most during the four-week period.

"Who's had the best January transfer window? I'd say Liverpool with the signings of Phillipe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge," he told BBC Sport.

The two players are believed to have cost Liverpool around £25m.
