Brendan Rodgers: 'We're excited by title challenge'

Brendan Rodgers is enjoying Liverpool's title challenge and insists that there is no pressure on them.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has insisted that his side are excited rather than nervous as the race for the Premier League title enters its final fixtures.

The Reds currently sit top of the table and, although Manchester City have two games in hand, victory over them on Sunday would put things in the Merseyside club's own hands.

"People talk about pressure but for us it's excitement," Rodgers told reporters. "I'm sleeping well. This is what we work for as coaches and managers. It gives me great joy to see how the players have embraced the ideas.

"It's vitally important we stay calm against City. We showed that at West Ham United last weekend. The beauty for us is this game is at Anfield. It's a special place. We will unleash our supporters."

Liverpool have won their last nine games in the league in a row.
