Brendan Rodgers praises Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers reserves praise for Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson after their 2-1 win against West Bromwich Albion.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers was full of praise for Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson after they scored in their 2-1 win over West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.

Lallana opened the scoring in the first half, before Henderson struck the winner to cancel out Saido Berahino's penalty, and the Reds boss was delighted with his players' contribution.

"[Lallana's] got a wonderful touch and feel for the ball, it's a lovely combination. He's cut across it and it was a great strike," Rodgers told Sky Sports News.

"He's a wonderful young man and he wants to learn and improve and he's getting better every time he steps on the field for me.

"I think [Henderson's] contribution in the two goals was very important. Jordan's a boy that can really dominate the game without the ball. He can move and run in between the lines and he done that today. He did a lot of running in the Champions League [defeat to Basel] in the week and showed the same energy today. He was outstanding."

Rodgers's side travel to Queens Park Rangers on October 19.
