Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has backed Alberto Moreno to recover following an unconvincing debut for the club.
The 22-year-old made his first appearance for the Reds since joining from Sevilla during Monday evening's 3-1 defeat against Manchester City.
He was at fault for the first goal that his team conceded when he failed to clear and allowed Stevan Jovetic in to score, but Rodgers believes that he will be able to adapt to the pace of English football.
"Young Alberto Moreno tonight showed flashes of his quality. He'll learn," The Express quotes Rodgers as saying.
"He wasn't the finished article when we brought him in, we knew there were certain areas we needed to work on, but that's something our eyes are wide open to."
Moreno has made three appearances for the Spanish national side.
