Pepe Reina has warned Liverpool that Manchester City will punish any mistakes made when the sides clash tomorrow.

Pepe Reina has warned Liverpool that Manchester City will punish any mistakes made when the sides clash tomorrow.

The Reds entertain the Champions at Anfield tomorrow and goalkeeper Reina has spoken of the need for Brendan Rodgers's side to keep their focus throughout the game.

"We have to make sure we don't make mistakes very often because they have players who can punish you badly," said Reina.

"We have to get our tempo going and dictate the tempo of the game ourselves."

The Spaniard also spoke of the individual quality Roberto Mancini's side possess.

"The squad cost so many millions and they have some great individual players, but as a group they have quality. It's not just the strikers - they have people like Silva, Yaya Toure, Hart and Kompany. They are a very strong team and we have to be ready."

Reina was part of the side that were beaten 3-0 by West Bromwich Albion on the opening day of the Premier League.
