Simon Mignolet admits he's not feeling the pressure at Liverpool

Mignolet not feeling "under pressure"

Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has insisted that he does not buckle under pressure, despite recent criticism.

The Belgian international was dropped by manager Brendan Rodgers in December, but returned to the starting XI swiftly following an injury to Brad Jones.

Mignolet conceded his first goal since New Year's Day in Tuesday night's 3-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield.

"Day in, day out you are in the spotlight but the main job is to focus on the football," BBC Sport quotes Mignolet as saying.

"You are always going to be under pressure but it is our job and you get used to it. It is not really pressure, it is something you enjoy as everyone likes to play in front of a big crowd."

Mignolet is expected to be between the sticks when Liverpool take on Crystal Palace in the fifth round of the FA Cup at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
