Former Liverpool winger Steve McManaman has backed the team to recover from their disappointing start to the season.
The Reds are currently languishing in 11th place in the Premier League table following just four wins from their first 11 games of the campaign.
Despite an underwhelming season so far for the Merseysiders, McManaman believes that a run of positive results will bring back a feeling of optimism to Anfield.
"You have to be confident a good run of form will turn it around," he told the club's official website. "There is a lot to play for and we shouldn't be too downhearted. Yes, we're going through a bad patch - but a lot of teams are going through a bad patch.
"There's plenty of time to turn things around. We just need to go on a run in the league, and beat Ludogorets and Basel in the Champions League, and then come Christmas we could be saying this could go on to be a good season."
Liverpool are back in action on November 23 when they travel to Crystal Palace in the league.
