Lucas Leiva to make Liverpool comeback in Under-21 game

Lucas to make comeback in reserve game

Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva is stepping up his return to first-team action by featuring in tonight's Under-21 match.

Manager Brendan Rodgers has been without the Brazilian since January due to a knee injury, but could have the midfielder's services for the remainder of the campaign.

Lucas wrote on Twitter: "Today I make my return with the reserve team. I am glad that my recovery went very well and I am looking forward for the last 10 games."

The 27-year-old is expected to feature in Alex Inglethorpe's side against West Ham United this evening.
