Kenny Dalglish hints that he may leave out a select number of senior players against Blackburn Rovers due to the side's upcoming FA Cup semi-final.

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has suggested that a number of senior players will play no part in the Reds' crucial Premier League clash against Blackburn Rovers.

The Merseyside club, who travel to Ewood Park this evening, may leave out the likes of Steven Gerrard and Dirk Kuyt due to this weekend's FA Cup semi-final against Everton.

"Blackburn is a game we want to win, but then we can only put out a team that has fit players," the Express quotes Dalglish as saying. "We have to see what our needs are over the whole period."

The Reds have failed to win a league game in their last four matches.
