Liverpool confirm Glen Johnson return

Liverpool confirm that Glen Johnson will return to training next week following an absence through illness.

Liverpool have confirmed that Glen Johnson will return to training next week following an absence through illness.

The defender was forced to miss Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Arsenal in the Premier League after being taken to hospital with a jaw infection.

However, the 29-year-old full-back was discharged on Saturday evening and is now expected to be in contention for next weekend's Premier League encounter at home to Fulham.

The England international spent nearly the whole of last month on the sidelines with an ankle injury.
