Jurgen Klopp: 'Liverpool will fight for everything'

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp admits that he is unsure how his side will fare next season, but insists that they will "fight for everything".

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted that he is unsure how his side will fare during the upcoming campaign, but vowed that they would "fight for everything".

The Reds are one of a number of clubs who will be hoping to push for at least a top-four spot in the Premier League, alongside the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and defending champions Leicester City.

Klopp is expecting an "interesting" campaign, but refused to lay out any specific goals for his side to achieve.

"I think we should fight for everything but if anything I could say now would help, I would say it, but unfortunately most of the things I could say wouldn't help. You can be sure we will fight for everything and we need to be ready for everything," he told the club's official website.

"We have a year without European football so we know [what] we're working for. We have, if you want, pressure, but it's more that we're really ambitious and we want to win as many games as possible. And then we will see what happens at the end because they are all ambitious around [us] and it will be a quite interesting league.

"If you are not involved, I'm pretty sure it's a big joy to watch it. We have to fight and I know we will be ready for this but, at the end, I don't know now where we will be at the end of the season."

Liverpool raised hopes for the new season with a 4-0 drubbing of a Barcelona side including Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi at Wembley this afternoon.
