Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has revealed that he is determined to prove that he is not a big-money flop at Anfield.
The 22-year-old joined the Reds last summer from Sunderland for a hefty £16m, which raised a number of eyebrows among Premier League rivals.
However, despite finding game time limited so far this season, Henderson is out to show the rest of the Premier League that he can justify his price tag.
"From the outside it probably looks like that because of how much I played last year, and this season I haven't started a Premier League game," said Henderson. "But I am coming into training every day, working hard and learning all the things I need to learn and I will continue to learn the game as the manager keeps telling me.
"I am very focused on what I need to do and it doesn't make a difference what anyone else thinks. I want my future to be at Liverpool so I'll give everything every day to make sure that happens.
"I definitely think in the future, given the opportunity I will take it and become a first-team regular for Liverpool."
Liverpool travel to Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday.
