Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson delighted by early transfer business

Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson praises the club for being decisive during the transfer window.

Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has praised the club for acting swiftly in the summer transfer window.

The Reds have already signed six players ahead of the new season, with James Milner, Roberto Firmino and Danny Ings among those to arrive at Anfield.

Henderson believes that adding to their squad early will only benefit the team going forward as they look to improve on the last campaign.

"It's a very big season for us as a team and as a club," he told the club's official website. "I think we have shown great intent early on in the transfer window to do our business early and get the players that we want.

"We need to make sure that we start the season well and we're all on the same page in what we want to achieve. Getting back into the Champions League is a big objective for us, but also winning trophies - Liverpool Football Club should be winning trophies every year."

Liverpool get their Premier League campaign underway on August 8 with a trip to Stoke City.
